	The special climate of our mountainous area with just the right proportion of rain and humidity, alternating with dry periods, is ideal for the natural drying and curing of tobacco. Our aging process is absolutely natural and, as with wine, it takes a minimum of 3 years for the tobacco to reach its full maturity in flavor and color.
	Mr. Luis Santana Lamas was our master of production. He had worked for 25 years at the H. Upmann plant in Cuba. He also was advisor to cigar companies in Central America, the Dominican Republic and the United States. He was one of the 10 most famous in the world. The secrets of the master, our excellent 100% Pure Costa Rican Tobacco, the best Cuban cigar making techniques, and our strict quality control procedure guarantee the consumer an excellent cigar.
	Once our tobacco is fully cured, the leaves are de-veined by hand and packed into bundles of 100 pounds (50 kg.) each, where they continue their aging process until the final manufacturing process begins. At this stage, the leaves will be "quick frozen" for 48 hours in the event that Tobacco Beetles, sneaked in our crop.
	The manufacture of our Vegas de Santiago cigars is totally made by hand in order to allow the use of the tubing technique and to de-vein the outer leaf. There are many other techniques, but we believe this to be the best in order to guaranty a regular burn of a cigar.
	The unfolding of the wrapper leaf and the selection of colors is one of the most important activities in the total process. At this stage, the tobacco leaves have a surprising leathery feeling and quality.
	The wrapper leaves are carefully selected, de-veined and cut to size, and each cigar is skillfully rolled by hand to its perfection. PURA VIDA !
