Vegas de Santiago
Cigar Review
I'm glad to hear that your first cigar was a good one! I really like
the VDS cigars
because they have a mild taste. I know many cigar
"veterans" like the stronger,
more "full-bodied" flavored cigars, but I
really enjoy a nice "mild" blend. I have 3
humidors filled with cigars
from all over the place, but I always make sure to have
some Vegas de Santiagos on hand!

I just finished smoking my first cigar
(Vegas) and decided to smoke the Churchill
from one of the samplers I
got. I must say I am pleasantly surprised that I'm going
to like my new hobbies.
A friend of mine surprised me when I told him I was going to try cigars
by the fact
that he used to smoke them often, and still enjoys the
occasional cigar. Well, I
allowed him to smoke the other Churchill (I
got two samplers) and he was pleased
with the stick, and pretty much
gave it rave reviews. Sorry that I can't be more
explicit with the
flavors and such. But with his help, here's what we found "nice
draw,
smooth, burned nicely & evenly, overall a great cigar for any occasion,
or
to just enjoy while relaxing. 8.5-9 rating" Of course, the number
rating was from
him, I don't have anything to judge against. Hopefully
that will change.

The Chaman: another excellent VDS. Perfect draw, smooth, clean, mild
to
medium flavor all the way to the end. Slightly uneven burn at one
point. Great
ash. I'm amazed at the consistency of the VDS cigars,
every one is perfect or
really close thereto. Thanks, Rudy.

Nice mild, easy going corona. Good burn, great draw, plenty of smoke.
Would
be prefect while strolling down the fairway contemplating my next
shot.

I have finally smoked this little baby. The overall impression of
this cigars was
"ahh what a beauty". Nice packing and wrapped in cedar too. Nice color and firm/compact feeling when you squeezed it. The
pre-aroma of the cigar was
nice and pleasant... except for a little freshly
grassy taste.
The toasting was nice and smell good. The burning was
even as ..... A little
hard in the draw but I guess that is because it
is a little fresh since we are little
of a "beta-testing" crew. The taste was surprisingly complex and nice. A lot
of taste and a little grassy
tone in the taste profile. Lots of smoke!! I guess this
cigar is quite
fresh ? That little grassy taste is something I find in the candella
wrapped cigars but more dominant!. Overall a very nice cigar that
probably
will be even better with a few years of age. Thanks a lot Rudy
this one was a
great one and the smoking very pleasant.
